Online Nikkah

Online Nikah in Pakistan is a marriage ceremony conducted virtually, where the bride and groom, along with witnesses, participate through an online platform. The process involves the exchange of consent, the presence of witnesses, and the formal recitation of the Nikah, ensuring the marriage is recognized and documented.

Requirements for Online Nikah in Islam

  1. The bride and groom should be at least 18 years old.
  2. Both individuals must willingly consent to the marriage.
  3. The Nikah must take place in the presence of two witnesses.
  4. The Meher (dower amount) must be mutually agreed upon.
  5. Two male witnesses are required to validate the Nikah.
  6. There must be an offer and acceptance (Ijab-o-Qabool) by the bride and groom.

In an online Nikah, the physical presence of the bride and groom is not mandatory. Instead, they can appoint representatives (Vakeels) who will give consent on their behalf during the ceremony. This process fulfills the required conditions of Sharia and adheres to Islamic principles.

Online Nikah Procedure

Our online Nikah process is straightforward and follows the guidelines of the Hanafi school of thought. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Copies of the bride’s and groom’s ID cards or passports, along with their details, are submitted via email.

Step 2: A mutually convenient date and time are selected for the Nikah ceremony. The bride and groom can participate in the ceremony through platforms like WhatsApp, Skype, or Zoom.

Step 3: On the scheduled date, the Qazi (Nikah officiant) begins with the Khutbah-e-Nikah (Nikah sermon) during the video conference. The process includes Ijab-o-Qabool (offer and acceptance) conducted in the presence of two witnesses and appointed Vakeels (representatives).

Step 4: After the Nikah is solemnized, the necessary legal documentation is processed. This includes signing the Nikah Nama (marriage contract) and applying for online registration with the relevant authority, such as obtaining the Nadra Marriage Certificate.

This online Nikah procedure is Sharia-compliant, simple, and ensures a legitimate and recognized marriage contract.
